Smokehouse Band cont.....

The Smokehouse Band’s first album featured a special performance by Rual Yarbrough. The band also recorded a patriotic album with Bill Schustik providing background vocals and instrumentation. After that, the band recorded “The Ballad Of Shiloh”, the official song for the reenactment of Battle Of Shiloh. The band also performed the plays “On Shiloh Hill” by Bill Schustik and “Big River” by Roger Miller. One member of the band, Ernie Welch released two singles: “Ramblin Man” and “Who Have You Got To Lose”both produced by Johnny Sandlin, the original producer of the Allman Brothers on his Duct Tape Label. These releases charted in Cashbox and Billboard magazines.

In 1999 the band signed with the Nesak recording label to release “20 Years Of Feedback”, a CD sold in Europe and the United States. This CD is still played on XM and other bluegrass radio stations.

Currently, the band is working in their own studio recording original music for an acoustic bluegrass CD, a gospel bluegrass CD, and an electric, acoustic CD.
